BETWEEN WORLDS
Painted in oil on canvas, each work in Between Worlds is a world unto itself. Symbols, forms, and imagery are integrated into each painting as part of a larger visual language, sometimes subtle, sometimes central to the composition. The works begin with a feeling, an idea, or an intuitive impulse, sometimes arising from something I have perceived through life and sometimes arriving without explanation. I follow this initial direction through sketches and into paint, allowing each work to develop its own atmosphere, character, and meaning.
