The Power of Looking Beyond Assumptions
Not everything is as it seems. It’s easy to make assumptions about the world, people, and even art. We’re often quick to judge based on what we see at first glance, but assumptions can limit our understanding and blind us to the richness that lies beneath the surface.
In life and art, things are always more complex than they appear. When we assume, we often miss out on the layers of truth, emotion, and intention that can only be uncovered by taking the time to dig deeper. Whether it’s an artwork you’re viewing, a person you’ve just met, or a situation you’ve encountered, it’s worth taking the time to learn the full story.
As an artist, I understand this deeply. My work often reflects more than meets the eye—vibrant colors and themes that seem light on the surface but carry deeper meanings rooted in my personal journey. If you only see the bright colors, you might miss the full story behind each piece. In the same way, when we make assumptions about anything in life, we risk misunderstanding the true complexity of what’s in front of us.
I encourage you to slow down and take the time to learn the truth, whether it’s about art, people, or the world around you. Ask questions, remain curious, and be open to the possibility that things are not always as they seem. When we look beyond our assumptions, we can discover a world full of complexity, beauty, and truth.
Thank you for being part of this journey, for taking the time to explore beyond the surface of my work, and for appreciating the deeper stories behind it.
